AFP Action launches six-figure Alaska TV campaign for Sullivan

Americans for Prosperity Action is spending six figures on TV ads backing Sen. Dan Sullivan's 2026 re-election bid against Democrat Mary Peltola, who has raised comparable funds.

A conservative super PAC is entering Alaska's 2026 Senate race with a six-figure statewide television campaign backing Sen. Dan Sullivan's re-election, adding outside spending to a contest where both candidates have raised roughly comparable sums.

Americans for Prosperity Action, a federal independent expenditure-only committee, endorsed Sullivan on Thursday and announced the ad buy alongside plans to deploy its grassroots network across Alaska. The spending helps Sullivan and intensifies pressure on Democrat Mary Peltola in a race where, as of March 31, Sullivan had raised about $9.1 million and Peltola about $8.66 million.

"AFP Action is proud to endorse Senator Dan Sullivan's re-election campaign, and we intend to put the full force of our grassroots army behind his candidacy," AFP Action Executive Director Nathan Nascimento said. "Sullivan has a track record of fighting for Alaska's economy by advocating for policies that will bring energy innovation and production back to Alaska."

The ads will focus on Sullivan's record on energy production, EPA rollbacks, permitting, lowering everyday costs, and delivering results for Alaskans. Nascimento also cited Sullivan's work on the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee. Alaska has the highest per-capita veteran population of any state, at 10.7 percent of adults.

The general election is set for Nov. 3, 2026.
