State seeks software vendor for opioid treatment data reporting

The Alaska Department of Health is accepting proposals through May 15 for a software platform to collect and report data from organizations that receive State Opioid Response grants.

The Division of Behavioral Health needs a cloud-based system that will gather client information from grantees across Alaska and automatically upload it to a federal reporting database. The system must meet requirements for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Unified Performance Reporting Tool.

The request for proposals includes nine attachments with technical requirements, cost proposal forms, and a business associate agreement for handling protected health information. Vendors must sign a non-disclosure agreement before accessing detailed specifications.

The contract will support organizations that provide opioid treatment services with federal grant money. The software must collect standardized data about clients and services, then batch upload that information to the federal Performance Accountability and Reporting System.
