State seeks bids to insulate Gambell water storage tank

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation is accepting bids through May 20 to insulate a water storage tank in Gambell, a community of about 700 people on St. Lawrence Island in the Bering Sea.

The Village Safe Water Program is seeking a contractor to construct insulation improvements for the tank. Bids are due at 2 p.m. on May 20.

Contractors who download the bid documents from the state's online notice system must register separately with the procurement officer to receive any amendments to the project specifications. Registration must be in writing.

The project details are available in the invitation to bid document attached to the public notice.

Contractors who need accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act should contact the procurement officer at least 10 days before the bid deadline.
