State seeks bids for mobile heaters to warm equipment statewide

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is accepting bids for mobile indirect fired heaters used to warm equipment across the state.

The State Equipment Fleet division needs the heaters for its statewide operations. Companies interested in bidding must submit requests for any amendments to the bid documents by May 11 at 2:30 p.m. Final bids are due May 20 at 2:30 p.m.

Indirect fired heaters warm equipment and work spaces without exposing them to combustion gases. The state uses them to keep vehicles and machinery operational during cold weather.

Bidders can obtain copies of the full bid documents by contacting Kristi Futrel at the State Equipment Fleet office, 5420 Dr. an unnamed participant. Avenue in Anchorage. She can be reached at 907-269-0793.

Bidders with disabilities who need auxiliary aids or special modifications to participate in the procurement process should contact Futrel at least 10 days before the May 20 bid opening to arrange accommodations. The state complies with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

The contract will be awarded after the department reviews all submitted bids.
