State seeks bids for gravel stockpile on Dalton Highway

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is accepting bids to deliver aggregate stockpile to the Dalton Highway area. Bids are due by 10:00 a.m. on April 30, 2026.

The project will establish gravel stockpiles along the Dalton Highway, the 414-mile road that connects the Interior to Prudhoe Bay and serves as a critical supply route for North Slope oil fields and remote communities. The project is federally funded.

Bids must be submitted by the April 30 deadline. Late bids, faxed proposals, and oral proposals will not be accepted. The state will publicly open bids at 10:00 a.m. that day.

Contractors can download bid documents in PDF format from the state's Online Public Notice website. Anyone who downloads the documents must register with the procurement officer to receive any amendments. The state will also provide paper copies upon request.

The department said it will ensure disadvantaged business enterprises have full opportunity to submit bids and will not discriminate based on race, color, or national origin. Bidders with disabilities who need accommodations should contact the Division of Supply and Services at least 10 days before the bid opening.
