State seeks bids for Circle Airport maintenance work

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is accepting bids for maintenance work at Circle Rural Airport in the Northern Region.

Bids are due by 11:00 a.m. Alaska Time on May 14, 2026, when they will be publicly opened at the department's offices. Late bids will not be accepted.

Circle is located on the Yukon River about 160 miles northeast of Fairbanks. The airport serves the community of roughly 100 residents and provides a critical link for mail, supplies, and emergency services.

Contractors can download bid documents in PDF format from the state's Online Public Notices website. Anyone who downloads the documents must register with the procurement officer to receive any amendments to the solicitation. Failure to register may result in rejection of the bid.

The department will ensure that disadvantaged business enterprises have full opportunity to submit bids and will not discriminate based on race, color, or national origin.

Bidders with disabilities who need auxiliary aids or special modifications should contact the Division of Supply and Services at least 10 days before the bid opening.
