State seeks bids for Allakaket airport maintenance through May 28

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is accepting bids for maintenance work at the Allakaket Rural Airport. Bids are due by 11:00 a.m. Alaska time on May 28, 2026.

The state will publicly open all bids at the deadline. Late submissions, faxed proposals, and oral bids will not be accepted.

Allakaket is located on the Koyukuk River in the Northern Region, about 190 miles northwest of Fairbanks. The airport serves as a critical transportation link for the community of roughly 170 residents.

Companies interested in bidding can download the full solicitation documents in PDF format from the state's Online Public Notice website. Bidders who download the documents must register with the procurement officer to receive any amendments to the solicitation. Failure to register may result in rejection of the bid.

The department stated it will ensure disadvantaged business enterprises have full opportunity to submit bids and will not discriminate based on race, color, or national origin. Bidders with disabilities who need auxiliary aids or special modifications should contact the Division of Supply and Services at least 10 days before the bid opening.
