Railbelt power grid finance panel to meet April 30 in Anchorage

The Finance Subcommittee of the Railbelt Transmission Organization will meet April 30 at 3:00 p.m. to discuss financial matters related to the power grid serving Southcentral Alaska.

The meeting will be held by teleconference through Microsoft Teams at the Alaska Energy Authority offices at 813 West Northern Lights Boulevard in Anchorage. The public cannot attend.

Under the organization's bylaws, subcommittee meetings are closed to the public. The Finance Subcommittee can only advise or make recommendations to the Governance Committee. It cannot establish policies or make decisions on its own.

The Railbelt Transmission Organization oversees the electrical grid connecting Fairbanks, Anchorage, and the Kenai Peninsula. The organization's Governance Committee meetings are open to the public under the bylaws.

The Alaska Energy Authority posted the meeting notice April 24. The notice did not include an agenda or list of topics the subcommittee will discuss.
