Nushagak Fish and Game Committee to discuss caribou hunt proposal April 29

The Nushagak Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet April 29 at 5:30 p.m. to discuss a Board of Game supplemental proposal on caribou hunting regulations.

The meeting will be held online and by phone. The committee will review Proposal 189, which addresses caribou hunting in the region, and conduct other business.

Advisory committees are local groups that develop regulatory proposals and make recommendations to the Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. The committees provide a forum for residents to discuss fish and wildlife issues, including habitat concerns.
