Kenai River Advisory Board seeks public input at April 9 meeting

The Kenai River Special Management Area Citizen Advisory Board will meet April 9 at 5:30 p.m. at the Soldotna Public Library to discuss issues affecting the Kenai River watershed. The board advises the governor and Department of Natural Resources commissioner on Kenai River matters excluding fisheries allocation. Written comments can be submitted before the meeting to [email protected] with "Kenai River Special Management Area Citizen Advisory Board" in the subject line. The meeting will be held in a hybrid format at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Kenai National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. The 12-member public board works alongside five non-voting agency representatives to address watershed management issues. Residents can attend virtually or in person.
