DOT&PF seeks bids for Kenai Peninsula winter sand, June 10 deadline

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is accepting bids for highway maintenance sand at multiple locations across the Kenai Peninsula. Bids are due June 10, 2026.

The state will open bids for ITB 2526H310 at 2:00 PM Alaska Time on June 10, 2026. The contract will supply sand for winter road maintenance at various peninsula locations. Bid documents are available in Adobe Acrobat format on the state's Online Public Notice website.

Winter road maintenance across Alaska depends on traction sand and other materials that local suppliers provide. Multiple producers and vendors on the Kenai Peninsula compete for these seasonal contracts.
