Alaska Energy Authority seeks bids for Bradley Lake power transformer

The Alaska Energy Authority is accepting bids through April 25 to purchase a three-phase transformer for the Bradley Lake hydroelectric expansion project.

The transformer is part of the Bradley Lake Expansion project, which provides power to Southcentral Alaska communities. The authority requires bidders to identify the manufacturer's name and country of origin for all equipment.

Bidders offering products manufactured outside the United States may also submit alternative pricing for American-made versions. The authority will require manufacturer certifications proving compliance with federal domestic content requirements under Internal Revenue Service rules.

Companies must certify they are not foreign entities or foreign-influenced entities as defined under federal tax code section 45Y. All domestic content commitments become contractual obligations if a bid is accepted.

The full bid specifications appear in the project's scope of work and bid schedule documents, available through the state's online public notices system under project number 26059.
