State to issue gravel contract for Lake Louise Road project

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities plans to extract 150,000 cubic yards of gravel from a 54-acre site at milepost 19 of Lake Louise Road.

The Department of Natural Resources intends to issue a material sale contract for the extraction, which would support road maintenance and construction projects in the area. The site sits in the west half of Section 18, Township 6 North, Range 7 West, Copper River Meridian.

The contract falls under state regulations governing material sales from designated sites. The department identified the location as Material Site 809-010-5.
