State seeks surveying contractor for Anchorage airport runway project

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is accepting proposals through May 19 for surveying and mapping services at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. The work supports reconstruction of Runway 7R/25L.

Proposals are due by 4:00 p.m. on May 19, 2026. The contract is expected to run from June 2026 through October 2028 and cost between $200,000 and $250,000.

The contractor will provide control surveying, design surveying, right-of-way surveying, and mapping services during the design phase. The state may add pre-construction and post-construction work through amendments if needed.

The request for proposals package became available April 28. Contractors can pick up the package in person at the DOT&PF plans room at 4111 Aviation Avenue in Anchorage or request it by mail by calling (907) 269-0408. The package is also available for download at https://ui.bidx.com/ALASKA/lettings.

Proposals must use the forms specified in the request package. Contractors with disabilities who need auxiliary aids or special modifications to submit a proposal should contact the TTD number at (907) 269-0473 at least one week before the May 19 deadline.

The project is identified as IRIS No. CFAPT01185. DOT&PF's Central Region Design and Engineering Services is managing the procurement.
