State seeks proposals for family caregiver support services

The Alaska Department of Health is accepting proposals from organizations to provide support services for family caregivers statewide through the National Family Caregiver Support Program.

The program helps Alaskans who care for aging relatives or family members with disabilities. Services typically include respite care, counseling, training, and information to help caregivers manage their responsibilities.

The contract will run from fiscal year 2027 through fiscal year 2029. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, tribal entities, and other qualified service providers.
