State seeks engineering proposals for Denali campground water system

The Alaska Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation is accepting proposals from engineering firms to design a water system for K'esugi Ken Campground in Denali State Park near Trapper Creek. Proposals are due May 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

The project would provide water infrastructure for the campground, which sits along the Parks Highway about 150 miles north of Anchorage. The state expects the design work to cost between $50,000 and $100,000, with the engineering contract running from June 2026 through December 2027.

Firms interested in submitting proposals must follow instructions in the request for proposals package, which is available for download on the state's online public notices website. The package includes required forms and a complete description of the engineering services needed.
