State seeks contractors for drug treatment at Palmer correctional facilities

The Alaska Department of Corrections is accepting proposals from qualified vendors to provide substance use disorder treatment services at Palmer Correctional Center and Mat-Su Pretrial facility in Palmer. Proposals are due May 1, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

The contract would provide addiction treatment programs for inmates at both correctional facilities in the Mat-Su area. Current treatment services at these facilities would be replaced by the selected contractor.

Companies interested in bidding must download the full request for proposals document and contact Allan Oyao at [email protected] to register as a vendor and receive any updates to the bidding requirements. Vendors who fail to register may have their bids rejected as non-responsive.

The state will provide auxiliary aids or services for individuals with disabilities who need assistance participating in this procurement process. Companies should contact Oyao to request accommodations.

The bidding period closes May 1 at 2:00 p.m. The state will review all submitted proposals and select a contractor to begin providing substance abuse treatment services at the Palmer facilities.
