State seeks bids for Fort Yukon airport maintenance contract

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is accepting bids for a maintenance contract at the Fort Yukon Rural Airport. Bids are due by 10:00 a.m. on June 2, 2026.

The contract covers routine maintenance work at the airport, which serves Fort Yukon, a community of about 580 people located 145 miles northeast of Fairbanks on the Yukon River. The airport provides essential air service to the remote community, which has no road access to the state highway system.

Bids must be submitted by the June 2 deadline to be considered. Late submissions will not be accepted. The state will not accept bids by fax or phone.

Companies interested in bidding can download the full bid documents from the Alaska Online Public Notices website. Bidders who download the documents must register with the procurement officer to receive any updates or changes to the bid requirements.

The state will open bids publicly at 10:00 a.m. on June 2.
