State proposes five-year lease extension for Cordova Airport hangar

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is accepting public comments through June 2 on a proposal to extend a hangar lease at Cordova Airport for five more years.

Charles Roesbery has applied to extend Lease ADA-71993, which covers approximately 4,800 square feet at Lot 5A, Block 102. The lease allows Roesbery to operate and maintain a hangar for storing and maintaining his private aircraft. Annual rent would be $1,041.60 plus associated fees.

The department can approve the extension without competitive bidding under Alaska Statute 02.15.090(c), which allows lease renewals for existing tenants. The lease is limited to aeronautical use, including aircraft parking and tie-down.

Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m. on June 2, 2026. The department will notify only those who submit written comments of its final decision.
