Fairbanks transportation committee to score community grant applications May 7

The Fairbanks Area Surface Transportation Planning committee will meet May 7 to review and score applications for a new community transportation grant program.

The Project Enhancement Committee will meet from noon to 1 p.m. at the FAST Planning office in the KeyBank Building at 100 Cushman Street, Suite 215. The committee will develop funding recommendations for the Policy Board.

The meeting is open to the public. Residents can attend in person or join online at www.fastplanning.us/keepup/zoom.

FAST Planning coordinates transportation projects and planning for the Fairbanks area. The new Community Transportation Grant Program will fund local transportation improvements, though the notice does not specify the total funding available or eligible project types.
