Alaska Pioneer Homes Advisory Board meets June 5, public comment open

The Alaska Pioneer Homes Advisory Board will meet June 5 at 9 a.m. to discuss operations of the state-run assisted living facilities for Alaska seniors. The public can comment during the first 15 minutes of the meeting.

The board advises the Department of Family and Community Services on policies affecting the six Pioneer Homes located in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Ketchikan, Palmer and Sitka. The homes serve Alaska residents 65 and older who have lived in the state for at least one year.
